“Over the past forty years, it has been my privilege to have preached in many churches and to have been blessed by God to know hundreds of pastors and other men of God.
Considering that perspective…it is with great assurance that I can say that I believe that David Stubblefield is a man whom God has equipped and is raising up to be a leader in the church in our day. Given the needs of the churches and the great challenges that we face, it is a joy to recommend David Stubblefield for pastoral leadership.
God has given him a vision for discipleship, and he has demonstrated this repeatedly as he has poured his life into men and seen them changed into genuine men of God. He is a man of the Word and has a passion for reaching the nations with the gospel, beginning right at home. He ministers with faithfulness, diligence, integrity and servant heartedness.
He loves God, loves people, and is committed to the things that are the truest needs of the church. What a blessing it would be to have him as a pastor.”

"When I think of David Stubblefield, I think of Paul’s exhortation to Timothy, 'Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity show yourself an example to those who believe' (1 Timothy 4:12). David is from the core of his being such an example. He is a true discipler of men – calling them to the cross of Jesus Christ and the Word of God where alone we find life!
He is married to a very godly young woman who knows and loves the Word of God and serves as a Precept trainer for Precept Ministries International. I’ve known Elizabeth Whittinghill Stubblefield literally from birth.
Together, their marriage mirrors Ephesians 5:18-33. As a father, he loves, disciplines, and instructs his children according to the Word of God. As for David’s heart it is the heart of a true ‘shepherd’ that will lead others to the Great Shepherd….rather than to himself."

"The qualifications for a pastor that the Bible gives have mainly to do with character, because it’s so vital that pastors be pace-setters and examples to the flock. When it comes to godly character and a shepherd’s heart for the people of God, I don’t know anyone more qualified or fit for the task than David Stubblefield.
The Word requires not only that the pastor have godly character, but that he also have the necessary competency to lead God’s people in God’s will and in God’s mission. God has gifted and equipped David with a passion for discipleship, pastoral experience, and anointed preaching to care for the people of God and equip them for ministry.
I couldn’t commend him more highly to any church looking for a pastor who will lead with humble strength and provide footprints for people to follow as they seek to follow Jesus."

David Stubblefield is a man with a passion for the Word of God and for His people. He has a shepherd’s heart and a scholar’s mind. He is a leader who love to disciple people in the Word and longs to see them grow into men and women who are conformed to the image of Christ.

I loved working with David at Summit Ministries. He was my right-hand man. As Assistant Director, David’s responsibilities were to develop the staff who in turn mentored our students. David’s ability to disciple was evident immediately and grew consistently. He was tireless, taking and making opportunities to listen, speak to and pray for our students and staff.
I admired, the ease with which David moved in this environment. He had the right words, Scripture-based words, at the right time, as young men shared their souls. David and I were both a bit younger then, but he was already demonstrating God’s gifting for leadership with a shepherd’s heart.
David is also a servant and he displayed that in many ways, but right now I’m remembering those times he slipped into the kitchen late at night to bake some chocolate chip cookies -- which turned out perfectly every time. As I think about them, I crave a big glass of milk and the opportunity to sit and discuss a good life with David once again.

Rarely do you meet someone who leaves you with a lasting impression of Jesus, seemingly without any effort on their part. David Stubblefield is such a man! A true servant of God and a faithful steward of Christ.
I have been privileged to minister alongside of David in a large church setting for the span of about four years. Often, I noticed many of the gifts God entrusted to him - leadership, discernment, and exhortation are among these. There exists within David’s demeanor a wonderful anointing from God, that emerges in the form of credibility giving rise to the influence of a natural leader.
To say the least, David is a people-person, passionate about discipleship and ultimately concerned about others’ relationship with Jesus. He possesses a highly effective notion of the spiritual growth process and its implementation. A gifted teacher with a keen knowledge of God’s Word and a distinguished communicator of Biblical truth, David is a ready asset to any ministry. Please know that David is my friend and has become such given the fellowship of the Spirit we share. Because I have witnessed Christ’s evidence in his life, and with great confidence, I recommend David Stubblefield to you.

"We are blessed to call David and Elizabeth friends for over ten years. We have watched God orchestrate such a beautiful gospel driven union since the very first time they met each other. God ordained their marriage and ministry. Those of us that have gotten to watch, encourage, pray with, and love them through the journey are better for it because they are focused on Christ being proclaimed and glorified in everything they do.
We don’t use the words leader and shepherd lightly but David is surely both. A great leader starts at home with his family and we have gotten to see this first hand. We prayed for David before we ever knew his name as Elizabeth patiently awaited God’s best for her.
It has been a joy to get to see what God continues to do in and through what they have surrendered to him, which is everything. He is more than enough for them. It is a gift to call them colaborers and friends."

"The first time we met David, we immediately felt his sencerity and genuine love for the Lord and for people. It was refreshing! David's heart for discipleship and the way he lives it out has made a lasting impression on our lives and the way we do ministry. We are so thankful for his investment in our lives and the Kingdom!"
